Commitment to Sustainability

Solaris Paper and its affiliate Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) are committed to promoting sustainable development which is economically, socially and environmentally responsible.

We have an economic responsibility to our key stakeholders to manage and develop our business. We will do this by providing sustainable and innovative bathroom solutions that deliver excellent quality and value.

We have a social responsibility to the various communities in which we operate. In Australia, we are making a positive contribution to our local community by supporting a range of organisations including our local school, business associations and others. In 2014, we continue our partnership with Foodbank NSW, the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia, and are proud to have been part of the 2014 Packages for Homeless campaign.

In February 2013, we welcomed APP’s commitment to end deforestation across its entire supply chain through the introduction of its Forest Conservation Policy (FCP). Covering more than 2.6 million hectares of forest concessions, APP’s FCP represented a breakthrough for the global protection of natural forest. This is important, not only for the sustainability of Solaris Paper products, but for the preservation of natural forest and the communities that live within and around it.
