Our products use fibres from Eucalyptus and Acacia trees from responsibly-managed plantations. These trees have a fast 6-8 year planting and harvesting cycle. These fast growing trees enable us to use less land to meet our customers growing demands for 100% Pure Pulp tissues.
Committed to Zero Deforestation
Renew. Restore. Repeat. With our primary strategic fiber and base paper supply partner Asia Pulp and Paper (APP), Solaris Paper continues to make sustainability a consistent top priority. From plantation-grown, rapidly renewable trees, to responsible fiber procurement and processing—new and innovative environmental practices are being implemented on a global scale.
Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
Environmental responsibility is critical to our business. Our Sydney plant has Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody (CoC) certification. This carries a responsibility to ensure 100% of our raw materials are either PEFC CoC certified or are non-controversial sources under PEFC guidelines. For more information on PEFC Chain of Custody visit: www.pefc.org/standards/chain-of-custody. See our Chain of Custody certificate here.
Rapid Renewable Fibre
Together, Solaris Paper and strategic supply partner APP promote responsibly grown and managed Rapidly Renewable Fibre (RRF) plantations. RRF uses fast growing Eucalyptus and Acacia trees that reach full height and can be harvested every 6 to 8 years. These young trees enable shorter harvest cycles yielding more paper from more trees, on less land and in Less time. We use these trees for more than 80% of our base products on average. Our virgin RRF based products are whiter, brighter and softer than recycled paper – making them the smarter paper option.
Certification and Accreditation
Solaris Paper maintains a strict, zero-tolerance policy for illegal fibre entering the supply chain and implements comprehensive systems to ensure that the raw materials we purchase are from legal and responsibly managed forests. We adhere to strict, independently audited, Legal Origin Verification and Chain-of-Custody protocols to ensure complete transparency on the origin of our materials. Solaris Paper adheres to the strict due diligence requirements of the Australian Government’s Illegal Logging Prohibition legislation.
